Amanda has a bet with her friend in Hornbæk about who first debuts sexually, so now she is quickly trying to find a man. Her father is more concerned with getting her married well and sees his chance, as a Count's family moves into the hotel. One of the maids has a nocturnal visit from a young man which is strictly prohibited and hotel host Julius Andersen is determined to find out which of the girls it is. Andersen's morals are less important when he sees his chance to look through the keyhole when the young girls bathe.
